Shut Out by Kody Keplinger

Most high school sports teams have rivalries with other schools. At Hamilton High, it's a civil war: the football team versus the soccer team. And for her part,Lissa is sick of it. Her quarterback boyfriend, Randy, is always ditching her to go pick a fight with the soccer team or to prank their locker room. And on three separate occasions Randy's car has been egged while he and Lissa were inside, making out. She is done competing with a bunch of sweaty boys for her own boyfriend's attention. Lissa decides to end the rivalry once and for all: She and the other players' girlfriends go on a hookup strike. (summary from poppy the publisher)

I wasn't too sure if I would like this book but I was instantly hooked. Lissa is adorable and although she seems a little bit passive she is sassy. It was very exciting to see what would happen and what crazy idea Lissa would could up with next.

Really enjoyed this book!! **** 4 stars.

Once A Witch

I know people always say not to judge a book by it's cover but there is something about this one. The second I saw it I couldn't wait to read it. And once I started reading I couldn't stop. I was absolutely mesmerized. I kept wanting to know what and why and Oh my gosh, did that just happen!

I highly recommend this book, and the sequel Always a Witch, oh wooow. I kept clenching my teeth thinking Tamsin was going to get caught! I don't want to give anything away... but the ending is wonderfully unexpected!!

5 stars all the way!

My Boyfriends Dogs

I am sad to say I just finished this book. I really enjoyed it. Ok so at first I loved it, Bailey had her boyfriend Went and I enjoyed reading about it. But then the mood of their relationship changed and I was still close to the beginning of the book. I was thoroughly confused. I had no idea where this was going. Then as it turns out I must have missed the part where Bailey is in a cafe is St. Louis telling her story. Ooooooh now I get it (light bulb clicks on) So the book has 3 parts basically but it all flows together and it was fun to read in a different way. I am not really used to this way of writing, or reading more like, but I liked it all the same. I am just sad the book ended where it did. I would have loved to read more.

4 1/2 stars (for ending too early) :)

When It Happens by Susane Colasanti

I just finished this book. Ok so yes I just bought it this morning and yes I already finished it, but I really loved this book. Not to mention I did something horrific to my shoulder while working out (how is that for trying to be healthy) and couldn't really do much so I got the chance to curl up with my kindle. And icy hot. And an ice pack.

This book had me hooked right from the start, it took a little getting used to though since every other chapter is from the other characters views. The first chapter is from Sara's point of view, the second is from Tobey's and so on. After I got the hang of it, I was completely addicted. I found that I really liked having the guys point of view. The insight of what was going through his mind about everything that was happening. It was a nice change and I really enjoyed it.  Every time I had to stop to do something I would keep thinking about the characters and what would happen. This is the first book of Susane's that I have read and I am totally in love with it. I highly recommend it.

5 stars!!

The Ex Games

Brace yourself for the battle of the exes....
Hayden and Nick used to be a hot item, but their brief affair ended with a highly publicized breakup. Now the two are "just friends," excluding the occasional flirtation.
When Hayden wins the girls' division of a local snowboarding competition, Nick is unimpressed, claiming that Hayden wouldn't have a chance against a guy. Hayden calls Nick's bluff and challenges him to a head-to-head boarding contest. Their mutual friends quickly take sides, the girls on Hayden's and the boys on Nick's, making for an all-out battle of the sexes. This friendly competition is bound to get heated -- and they might end up igniting some old flames.

Really loved this book! The banter between Hayden and Nick is very interesting and every time you think you know what's going to happen, you are surprised with the outcome. This is a fun read and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!! I want more!!

Now Kate just wants to get the road trip over with so she can spend the summer in Lucas's arms. But the road to Love is full of surprises....

I liked this book. Although the ending was a little predictable but it was still and fun read.

I give this one 3 1/2 stars.

Snowed In

I recently saw this book in my suggestions on my kindle. I loved it. Not only is it a perfect book to cozy up with during the winter months since the setting is a beautiful island covered in snow. But it has a victorian bed and breakfast, sleigh rides and lots of warm drinks that are mentioned in the pages.

This is the very first book of Rachel Hawthorne's that I have read and I have to say I am a complete fan of how she writes, how she makes her characters come alive on the pages. I really enjoyed this book. A must read for any romance reader.

Book Teaser:
Well, apparently I live here now—my mom just bought the place. And named it after me, Ashleigh, which was nice. But did she know how cold it is here??
Um, it's a tiny island with not much to do, unless you really like sleigh rides. But I gotta say there are quite a few hot guys on this cold island . . .
